They say you should never cry because it’s over, but should instead smile because it happened. As always, we’re a little confused about who this all-knowing “they” is, but we’ll buy it. After all, we’ve seen the saying printed on mugs and canvas signs and T-shirts. And things that are printed on mugs and canvas signs and T-shirts are often true… or at least widely accepted.
To be perfectly honest, we’ve cried a few tears over the end of summer, and since we’re apparently not supposed to do that, we’d like to overcompensate on the whole “smile because it happened” thing by bringing the team together to pay tribute to the highlights of the season. As you already know, our leaders are anything but boring, so it should hardly come as a surprise that they would have super cool summers. Keep scrolling for some of their reflections on the last few sunny months!

The Sobel family kicked off summer by attending a Philies game, followed by a trip to New Orleans! The city didn’t disappoint, as the musical talent was incredible. I highly recommend eating at The Ruby Slipper Cafe — the Bananas Foster French Toast is off the hook!
Our family summer tradition is to go to New York City and see a Broadway show. This year, the show was Mean Girls, and it was so good! No show would be complete without our yearly stop at the M&M store before Act One.

2018 was one busy summer! For one, I eloped in Kauai, which is by far the coolest place I have traveled yet. It was unreal! Also, I’m a personal trainer, and I got an advanced certificate in Corrective Exercise. This goes hand in hand with yoga and providing modifications to poses for every body. I am planning on completing my 300-hour yoga certification soon, too!

I spent a lot of time this summer planning my first international retreat with my friend Heather! We’re bringing a group to Costa Rica from Mar. 16 to Mar. 23, 2019 and we are so excited.
We went on our first Colorado camping trip at an 11,000 foot elevation. It was beautiful and there were so many wildflowers.
We hiked our first fourteener (these are the 58 mountain peaks in Colorado that are 14,000 feet or higher!)! It was awesome — and so hard. Of course, I had to stand on my hands at 14,000 feet!
I also went home to see my mom in Concord, NH. It was so nice to spend time with my family.
